The main theme of the Rosa Ekaterina composition may, of course, seem to be a combination of red rose and white musk, but in fact it is the story of the Russian Empress Catherine II. Moresque dedicated the rarest flower in their garden to the woman whose strong character, sharp mind, education, beauty and elegance went down in history – the chypre rose, which the perfumers surrounded with vanilla, cinnamon and caraway.
