THE OUD AFFAIR is a new intoxicating fragrance in the Vilhelm Parfumerie collection, inspired by the whirlwind romance between actress Ava Garner and the famous bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin. Dominguin once said about his beloved: “She was the most beautiful and the most dangerous. It was as if I was holding a ferocious wolf in a cage. “THE OUD AFFAIR captures all the highs and lows of this dizzying love story, where the tender sweetness and dramatic intensity of passions never waned. An unusual accord of wild honey and ginger oil in the top notes is complemented by shades of tobacco leaves on a base of agarwood accords and black vanilla pods.
THE OUD AFFAIR is the result of many years of work by the founder of Vilhelm Parfumerie, Jan Ahlgren. “Oud scents are great, but they are difficult and problematic to work with,” said Yang. “Agarwood, the oud component in this fragrance, reveals its animalistic side here, and this makes it extremely attractive.” To soften the intensity of Agar wood, Ahlgren adds aromatic wild honey to the composition. As a result, the fragrant intrigue turned out to be as bright as this love story.
