Start with Clean Lashes: Ensure lashes are free of old mascara, oils, or makeup residue.
Curl First (Optional but Recommended): Use an eyelash curler before applying mascara for a wide-eyed look. Doing it after can cause lashes to stick to the curler and break.
Wipe the Wand: Before applying, gently wipe the wand against the rim of the tube to remove excess product. This prevents clumps.
Look Down: Tilt your chin up and look down into a mirror. This gives you the best angle to coat lashes from root to tip.
The Wiggle & Sweep: Place the wand at the base of your upper lashes and wiggle it side-to-side as you sweep upward. This coats the roots and separates lashes.
Bottom Lashes: Use the tip of the wand vertically for precision. A light touch is key.
Build in Layers: Apply 1-2 coats for a natural look, or 2-3 for more drama. Let each coat dry for 10-15 seconds before applying the next to avoid clumping.
Comb Through: If you see any clumps, use a clean lash comb or spoolie brush to separate lashes while the mascara is still wet.
